CB&Q GP30 959
Description:
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad GP30 959 westbound at Naperville, Illinois on September 19, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in June 1962 (c/n 27170) on EMD Order 7621, it became BN 2236 sometime after the March 2, 1970 merger, was rebuilt in May 1989 to BN GP39E 2754, and in August 1998 was renumbered to BNSF 2744. Cut in behind the motors are four new AT&SF GP35's, likely being delivered to the Santa Fe in a state where the sales tax was lower.

Description:
CBQ 959, a GP30 became BN 2236 before rebuilding as BN 2754, a GP39E.Changed to BNSF 2744 at the formation of BNSF. CBQ 924, a GP20 became BN 2060 and was retired by BN in 1987. It then passed to Palmetto Railways as PR 2005 then to South Carolina Public Railways as SCRX 2005. Moved on again to LTV Steel Mining as LTV 4207 then Port Terminal Rilway of South Carolina as PTR 4207.
