Title:
PRR 203, L-1S, c. 1955
Description:
Blairsville. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, perhaps in 1955. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #203, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during September of 1914 and retired in February of 1958. Partially visible on the left is deadlined PRR engine #468, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during April of 1917 and retired in November of 1955. The Blairsville Coaling Tipple is partially visible on the right. The date is an approximation.
