Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 11 April 1964. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #7104 and #7111. Both are EFS-17M road switchers built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7104 was built in November of 1956, but #7111 was built in May of 1957. In this context, they're pulling a 135-car mineral train from Altoona to Enola along with cabin car #477866. |
