DRGW 2-8-0ng #278 - Denver & Rio Grande Western
Description:
The 1882 Denver & Rio Grande Western 2-8-0 narrow gauge loco #278 takes the curve along the Aminas River. The older vehicle to the far left makes me think this slide is much older than 1972. An unknown photographer caught this action scene.

DRGW 2-8-0ng #278 - Denver & Rio Grande Western
Description:
The 1882 Denver & Rio Grande Western 2-8-0 narrow gauge loco #278 passes by a derelict depot. Since the Blue Mesa Dam was constructed in 1962 and eventually flooded this area, the slides which were stamped April, 1973, must be from a time before 1962. An unknown photographer captured the moment here.
