Description:
Waiting patiently for the passengers to board is Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 #2400 at an unidentified location in Ontario, Canada. Built by the Canadian Locomotive Company in September of 1942, it served well unti being sent to the scrapper's torch in November of 1957 asfter 15 years of service. Original specs - G3a class, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x30" cylinders, 75" drivers, engine weight of 299,000 lb and tractive effort of 42,500 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo so approximates were used.
