AEX GP40- 2LW #100016 - The Andersons
Description:
Mark Mautner caught this once proud GP40 unit now sitting in the scrap line at MEI (Metro East Industries) in East St Louis, IL. Built by EMD in October of 1974 as CN 9514 (still visible in the number board), it was retired and sold by CN on March 1, 2002. The loco bounced from RMPX and ISRR before landing on the Andersons roster. It was officially retired and scrapped in February of 2021.
